Head of Risk Analytics recruitment

Here is your chance to be an important part of Origin’s commitment to Enterprise Risk Management.  This is a high profile role and will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage relationships with senior decision makers in the organization and be an influential part of reshaping Group Risk into an area of strategic insight.

There are no hard and fast rules about what specific background you have as Origin genuinely welcomes diversity. They are keen to bring in new ideas and perspectives to help create a world class risk function that works with the business, providing tools and support to identify, manage, mitigate and value risk.

The “best fit” for this role will be someone who has a proven track record in using their deep analytical background to enable improved decision making at senior management and board levels.  That may have come from training as an Actuary, or from gaining the CFA/CERA or similar qualification or have been heavily involved in investment analysis at a major institution.  You should have a “flair for thinking”, approach problems from a numerically creative perspective, and be able to quickly differentiate the useful from the superfluous.  It is a given that you will have had some exposure to the unique challenges facing the risks in the energy and utilities markets.  This could be from (for example) working as a consultant in a major Actuarial practice, or an energy or utilities analyst at an investment bank.

You will provide Origin with an overview of the differentiation of costs for the whole of the Origin Energy portfolio, analyse and compare spend from a risk perspective.  A pivotal role, this position will allow Origin to drive a culture of risk mitigation throughout the organisation.

Your professional confidence, strong ability to communicate, and robust way of influencing key senior stakeholders will give you the edge in this role.

This is a truly exciting role and a rarely found opportunity in the market place.  If you are curious, please call Lesley Traverso on +61 433 129390 for a further discussion.
