Head of Sales Technology–Global Markets recruitment
Role Overview
Lead a large team of technology professionals to develop customer-facing product and service distribution systems for Global Markets. Working with the business and other Global Markets Technology delivery teams, this role will define a channels technology strategy that is in line with Group architecture and Technology roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong relationship with senior members of the Sales business and various Prodcut areas
- Deliver large projects and small changes on time and to a high quality
- Deliver innovation and project deliverables
- Develop a 3 year architecture and roadmap for Sales Technology solutions.
- Develop a highly motivated and engaged team of quality professionals.
- Ensure succession planning and remove key man risks
- Ensure efficient and prompt deliverables and strive to deliver above expectations
- Lift productivity levels and reduce operational costs by standardizing processes
- Create a highly engaged and productive workforce
Skills and Attributes
- Strong application development skills, built from experience in software engineering and/or architecture
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to develop strategy and architecture
- Analytical Thinking - ability to tackle issues and problems in a logical, step-by-step way.
- Results Orientation - a self starter with the ability to set clear goals and objectives for self and others, focusing on the delivery of targets, quality and challenging deadlines often in pressurised situations.
- Previous experience (circa 8+ years) in a Global Markets business developing product platforms and/or customer-facing solutions
- Strong commercial acumen, with good financial modelling, project management and communications skills
- Leadership Skills – achieve strong engagement levels that result in high productivity and below average turnover
- Experience leading medium/large teams of technologists
