Head of Sector

Responsible for the delivery of financial results and operational and regulatory standards for the organisation, the ability to lead by example and have the opportunity to be visionary is important.

The role offers an opportunity for an experienced operational Head/Manager to join an organisation that grew the head count by 25% in 2013. Brethertons is a multi sector legal services business with an ambition to become a £13m turnover business with 200+ people by 31st March 2017

Key responsibilities within the role will predominantly be split into five sections.

Strategic Development
Your innovation and creativity is key as you develop a vision for the future for legal services, identifying new opportunities for the sector in the changing legal market and taking ownership of the development and implementation of the Sector strategy.

Aspirational Client Service
As a Customer Service winner, your aptitude for customer care, understanding loyalty and being able to actively seek out client feedback is essential. The Head is also responsible for co-ordinating complaints handling and refining the client experience.

Results Orientated
With high attention to detail you’ll be motivated by success and always consistently seeking to improve profitability to contribute to the firm’s success. The autonomy of this roles means that you will have the ability to establish and implement processes to create consistent service and efficiency.

Learning and Development
With an organisation that is steadily growing, identifying future talent in others and supporting learning and development opportunities is key. Coaching team members and others to develop them including individual performance reviews for direct reports and succession planning for the Sector is an important part of the role.

Team Management
With over 200 years experience, clear leadership on the cultural values of Brethertons is required to ensure the firm continues to conduct itself in a focussed and inspirational way. Your ability to lead from the front and add value to the team and continue to create opportunities to publicly recognise achievements is key.

The successful applicant will have experience gained in the Residential Property sector. However, a background in property law is not essential. Commercial acumen, client service experience and team management skills will contribute to success in this role. Previous experience of operating within a regulated environment, leadership of others with managerial responsibility, proven entrepreneurial flair and be able to develop efficiencies through the use of technology will be essential.
