Head of Service, Yorkshire, up to 100k
My client is a leading insurance company and they have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Service to join. They have a large, diverse IT systems base, including many legacy systems and there is a significant level of IT change required to deliver their change portfolio.
The key outputs are:-
Drive proactive behaviours to identify and implement a service improvement plan - to achieve, or exceed SLAs. Ensure plan execution in line with customer needs/expectations.
Conduct customer surveys, manage site review forums and provide feedback to the service provider to ensure that the service delivery is aligned to requirements.
Monitor and report compliance against agreed standards and policies, defining corrective action where required.
Delivery to an agreed number of incident resolution KPI's using cost-effective technical resources, including Global Sourcing Partners
Manage the provision of services to customer-facing departments, which help them to treat customers fairly.
Clear strategy and plan for Test Management.
Contribution to the delivery of solutions (project and maintenance) to agreed Time, Cost, Quality and Scope within accepted risk parameters.
Production and execution of effective test strategies that reduce project risk and maximise the productivity of the organisation.
Quality assure all Change delivery through effective User Acceptance Testing. Ensure any service risk associated with change is understood.
Ensure agreed and effective test strategies are in place across the entire Portfolio of Change Delivery of systems integration testing which complements testing executed
Solutions Delivery, testing the integration between components within each release.
Global Sourcing partners integrated into delivery and maintenance life-cycle
Essential Knowledge and Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Educated to degree or equivalent (desirable)
MBA or equivalent may be an advantage
Professional qualifications (Prince2, ITIL, ISEB, CITP) desirable
EXPERIENCE
Managing significant programmes of change in a complex business environment.
Managing multi-disciplinary teams, including many specialists.
Decision making role and negotiation with senior business managers.
Leading teams of 30+ staff and influence of non-direct reports.
Working in collaboration with business partners and suppliers, developing and delivering service agendas.
Working with business partners to develop medium term plans to achieve the business objectives.
