Head of Solutions Architecture recruitment
Essential Skills: demonstrable experience working as a Senior Solutions and / or Functional Architect working across the whole of an Investment Banking technology business, as well as having a deep understanding of Risk and Finance; broad knowledge of how an investment bank works from front to bank office; experience of operating within a Senior management position, facing off with senior stakeholders at MD level and above within both technology and the business.
Desirable skills: knowledge of operations technology
This is a senior leadership position that will report to the Global Head of Solutions architecture and will work alongside the Global Head of Finance, Risk and Operations technology. The role will be instrumental in shaping how the bank makes strategic decisions on how they approach key IT programmes. You will define the strategic direction and decide how architecture works with the IT development team. A key driver for this programme is the ability to drive the sharing of technology platforms to drive down costs across the bank.
The role will manage a small team of solution architects but the remit is for this team to grow as the team becomes more influential across the bank. With the IT and change functions working hand in hand across the bank, there is a huge opportunity to play an important role in reviewing and changing the direction and application architecture of technology supporting all functions at the bank.
