Head of Strategic Initiatives recruitment
We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual to fill the position of Head of Strategic Initiatives. The incumbent will directly assist the CEO in the execution of the key MENA strategies, coordinating with business owners to achieve the MENA strategic initiatives and ensuring the rigorous prioritization of programs and initiatives aligned to our key strategic goals. In addition, the successful candidate will ensure that all related activities are conducted in a timely, effective manner and will provide direction and leadership to cross-functional project teams (both internal
and external) to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within the designated time frame, performance parameters and funding limits.
The Head of Strategic Initiatives will also share his/her skills with others by coaching, mentoring and assisting other managers to ensure successful strategy execution across the project
portfolio.
This position will be based in Dubai.
Key responsibilities of the position will be to:
* Participate in the identification and formulation of key MENA corporate strategies.
* Act as a 'first point of contact' as elicited by key strategies and assist CEO with strategic and operational management decisions including:
setting and monitoring of priorities and timelines;
identifying required resources needed for the execution of key strategies and
recommending actions to address
* Coordinate and collaborate with all departments within the organization in establishing and carrying out key corporate strategies; organize and plan daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly assignments wrt key strategies
* Plan and coordinate all strategy-related meetings, prepare information, monitor status of action items, and create feedback reports
* Research, compile, analyze and summarize data for key projects
* Lead cross-functional strategic and operational teams, as needed
* Anticipate, prioritize, and interpret situations and capability gaps that may impede the execution of the key strategies and recommend actions to address.
* Liaise with other departments/project teams on issues needing the CEO's feedback/recommendation
* Maintain strong interdepartmental working relationships
* Maintain continuous and effective communication across the organization.
* Be credible in presenting as a senior executive
* Coach, mentor and assist other managers, as needed, to ensure successful execution of key strategies
The successful candidate for this position will possess a tertiary qualification and ideally have signficant project management experience at a senior, strategic level. Strong people management and relationship building skills, creative problem-solving skills and an axcellent level of business and commercial acumen will be essential for success.
The ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels, including facilitating change, as well as a proven track record in making sound business decisions, will be essential.
In addition, strong conceptual thinking, analytical skills and the ability to produce exceptional results will ensure success in this challenging role.
