Head of Strategic Marketing, Reading based with UK travel
Salary up to £80k dependent on skills and experience
Huntswood are recruiting for a Head of Strategic Marketing who will be an experienced marketer in regulated markets. Essentially you will be experienced in financial services and, desirably, in utilities too with the expertise to direct the marketing activities of Huntswood in order to promote the profitable growth of the business.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Setting the marketing strategy for Huntswood with direction from the Board while ensuring tactical delivery takes place within the Marketing Operations team
- Product penetration strategies - working closely with the Commercial Director to ensure that Huntswood is constantly evolving its product and service offering to existing clients and ensuring compelling propositions are taken to market
- Market development strategies - working closely with the Commercial Director to identify new markets, new sectors and new territories to harvest our strong regulatory expertise
- Market and competitor analysis - lead the market analysis, segmentation and targeting strategies to ensure our external communications drive new business activity
- Business development initiatives - create and deliver value-adding marketing programmes through tools of market research that drives our propositions and new business activity
- External alliances - build and develop strong alliances with key regulatory bodies, notably BBA, CML, FSA and the FOS
- Work closely with finance to monitor the return on investment on all marketing campaigns, business development activity and promotional spend
- Own the marketing mix for Huntswood and work closely with the Commercial Director in shaping and keeping the value proposition fresh for Huntswood, maintaining a very active outlook on the external marketplace
- Be seen as a highly credible marketer for go-to-market strategies within regulated markets
- The Head of Strategic Marketing will be responsible for sizing vertical and geographic markets and opportunities
- Work closely with all teams within the Commercial Division to ensure market insight and analysis is widely shared with all those involved in new business activity and development
- Act as the owner of the filling the pipeline and following up stages of the marketing and sales cycle for Huntswood
- Direct brand strategy and marketing communications with a view to significantly growing Huntswood's marketplace profile
- Regulatory timeline management - acting as a leading expert on the key initiatives impacting on the regulated markets sector, playing a front-of-house role on the emerging risks impacting on our business
- Management reporting and analysis - supporting the Commercial Director through inputs to drive robust commercial direction
- Owner of all proposition-led marketing collateral for Huntswood
- Setting the social media strategy for the company
