Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services.
The principal objectives of this role will be:
To ensure that all services or solutions that are built, acquired or operated by MOT Technology are compliant with applicable laws regulations. In addition compliance is to be maintained over the life of the service or solution as laws regulations change and/or as Macquarie's business changes. The Global Head of Technology Compliance will serve as a senior member of the leadership teams in both Compliance and MOT's Risk functions, liaising with the regional Compliance teams, whilst aligned with the Regional Compliance Head sponsoring technology compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all technology services solutions within Macquarie are built operated to be compliant with applicable laws regulations.
- Interpret communicate policies regulations to Technology management.
- Advise senior management on the nature consequences of emerging regulatory changes.
- Ensure that information risk policies minimum standards adequately reflect Macquarie's regulatory obligations.
- Prepare plan the delivery of awareness training programs.
- Develop maintain suitable internal governance processes to assist on-going compliance.
- Ensure that all technology-related enquiries from regulatory bodies are answered accurately promptly.
- Perform risk-based controls assurance activities to assess the design operation of critical internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree essential.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a technology organisation.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a regulatory compliance, data privacy or similar environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to both business and IT staff as required.
- Experienced in leveraging a matrixed organisation to deliver results.
- Experience of a global organisation with diverse cultural regulatory demands would be advantageous.
- Comfortable with empowerment to make rapid decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and results-driven environment.
