Head of Technology Retail Banking

The Key accountability for this role includes end to end delivery of all technology services into the relevant business divisions and also delivery of strong subject matter expertise in relevant domains, facilitation of the technology investment for the business division, scoping of specific business demand, program delivery for the designated slate of investment, and reporting on divisional technology costs and service levels.

Managing and balancing business segment priorities, staff resourcing and development, IT budgets, cross IT impact and resourcing in accordance with the Technology operating model for the bank, part of the Segment Senior Leadership team, drive the transformation required to embed the Technology Operating Model harnessing all the components of the global technology team.

Business Interface

* Facilitate the planning process with the relevant business stakeholders to develop business requirements for technology solutions
* Facilitate quality strategic discussions to enable forward planning and wise investments
* Finalize the portfolio of demand for the domain for a 12 month period at a minimum
* Manage technology view of business services to ensure end-to-end business service health
* Report to the business on investment plans, with a focus on group investments and return on investment

Delivery Execution

* End to end IT program delivery in accordance with Technology Operating Model (see below for Technology Engagement)
* Leverage domain expertise, assets, tools and methodologies to mobilise projects to deliver to budget, timeline and quality outcomes.
* Create an environment that is lean, agile and produces reduced cycle time
* Develop strategic outcomes and innovation, while driving quality and delivery efficiencies
* Extract, develop and leverage super-regional capabilities
* Tracking budget for all systems developments
* Provide input into IT architecture and standards
* Participate in various Governance forums as required

Leadership Managing Change

* Provide strategic leadership that inspires and drives organizational change.Build strong technical capability within the domains to deliver the highest level of professionalism and out performance

Experience and skills

* Demonstrated experience in relevant business technology domain of Retail Banking
* Demonstrated capability to engage effectively with business partners and key stakeholders to ensure that all technology change meets standards of time, budget and quality metrics.
* Evidenced history of delivery on time, on budget, to scope
* Proven people management with large diverse and geographically disbursed teams
* Proven leadership courage
