Our client is an International Banking Group, with a well-regarded Trade Finance business and established Trade Services Operations in Asia. To cope with increasing business volume and growth in the region, they are currently seeking an experienced trade services candidate for the position of Head of Bills Operations, based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer in Hong Kong and with the assistance of 12 direct reports, you will oversee the daily operations to ensure all transactions and orders from clients, correspondent banks and Account Managers are properly executed. You will be responsible for Documentary Trade Operations and providing risk management assurance over the area. This role will also require you to have direct client interaction as the senior operations contact for any issues related to Documentary Trade Operations. As a Department Head, you will manage / plan resources, develop training programmes and put in place best practice to ensure an efficient and cost-effective running of the division.
Candidate with the following experience are invited to apply:
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
- Strong Documentary Trade experience
- Sound knowledge in Trade Finance and Bills Operations, in particular Documentary Credit and Collections
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a small team
- Commodities exposure is desired
