Head of Trade Operations

Reporting to the Regional Head of Operations you will be leading a team of more than eight Back and Middle Office Trade Finance analysts with a view to expand the team over the next 12 months. Your career in Trade Finance will cover all aspects of Trade Finance, both on the Operations side and across Trade Client Relations. Both areas are key and essential to ensure the department runs smoothly and effectively and delivers the premium service the bank's clients have come expect.
As team Head you will have a deep understanding of the complexities within International Trade Finance and bills operations covering both import and export with a full working knowledge of ICC and UCP language. Your ability to review, identify and mitigate risk in several facets of Trade Finance will be an essential aspect of the role. This includes Export Letters of Credit, Import Letters of Credit Applications, Purchase/Sales Contracts, Charter Party Agreements/Fixture Notes, Insurance and other related documents. Experience in Commodities Finance would be an advantage.
The position is essential to the efficient and cost effective operation of the department. You will develop the operation control framework and ensure consistency in processes and control. You will be meticulous in your approach, with an overview of the department's entire operation, monitoring and controlling the goods financed to ensure deals are settled on time. You will ensure the growth plans for the Trade Finance business remains aligned to strategies and initiatives.
