Head of Transaction Management Unit, Commodity & Structured Trade Finance recruitment
The Head of Transactional Management Unit (TMU) is responsible for driving the operational delivery of the Commodity Structured Trade Finance (CSTF) TMU risk model and Collateral Management System within Australia.
TMU is a key function within the CSTF model where effective and rigorous transactional management is pivotal to success. The Head of TMU position is vital in managing and mitigating risks relating to the on-going commercial operations of CSTF and implementing the global operating model. You will be responsible for establishing best practice policies, processes and systems to deliver efficiently whilst addressing operational and related credit risk. You will actively manage the centralised TMU team within Australia and be responsible for its continuing operations within the global risk framework.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the wider TMU team in Australia;
- On-going transactional and collateral management, including:
- Daily client position and facility monitoring
- Client liaison and problem resolution
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of CSTF facility documentation - Assisting the Global TMU Head with the establishment of procedures and framework;
- Driving the delivery of a robust TMU operational infrastructure and reporting;
- Identifying and developing best practice systems and processes for TMU functions;
- Providing advice and guidance to other members of the TMU and to both Clients and Stakeholders;
- Assisting in the testing and implantation of new TMU related systems;
- Maintaining a high degree of commodity market knowledge relating to both domestic and international activities.
Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of five years relevant commodity and trade related banking or sector experience in a managerial /leadership role;
- In-depth knowledge of CSTF products, risk, mitigants, and customers
- In-depth knowledge of best practice CSTF operational delivery systems and processes;
- Strong understanding of the marketplace and issues likely to impact on effective delivery and/or risk management, as well as on customer satisfaction and revenues;
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field (desirable).
