Head of Transfer Agency Product Technology recruitment
My client, a leading global investment bank, are currently seeking a senior individual to head up the Transfer Agency Products technology area, alongside a team of peers as part of the Fund Services Technology global team. The group provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including fund administration, global custody, corporate trust and loan agency and sub-custody settlement and services.
The role is to lead the global technology team delivering systems into the Transfer Agency Services product. The team is global in nature, with team members in China, Hong Kong, India, Luxembourg, and the UK.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for around 60 staff and a budget in excess of $10m, and responsibility for providing development and maintenance services to the business globally.
The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of Transfer Agency technology, including but not limited to software delivery, development and design, vendor management, and service improvement. In addition, the role is responsible for robust control over finances, development and deployment of staff and succession planning. Specific solutions implemented by the bank include Oracle FCIS and Koger NTAS.
The successful candidate must work closely with the business product leadership and provide high quality business driven IT consultancy. Therefore the role requires excellent judgment and a strong degree of comfort presenting to and interacting with senior business management.
Essential Experience
Business
*Understanding and experience of the business domain of Global Distribution Support and Transfer Agency Services
*Demonstrable experience of successfully managing budgets in excess of $10m.
*Significant experience in delivering projects on a global scale with a geographically diverse workforce
Technical
* Experience in traditional and alternative Investor Services solutions across a number of jurisdictions including off-shore locations (Ireland, Luxembourg, UK, Bermuda, Jersey/Guernsey, etc.), in the areas of Transfer agency, Partnership accounting, Reconciliations.
* A management level understanding of core technologies, such as J2EE, .NET, as well as sound understanding of technical infrastructure.
Additional Key Skills
Strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle from a fund management, fund administration and transfer agency perspective.
Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with a high level of commitment and positive attitude.
Ideally, prior experience of NTAS and FCIS, and the vendors Koger and Oracle
