Head of Treasury Middle Office recruitment
Working for a prestigious UAE bank, based in Abu Dhabi, your responsibilities will be as follows:
To constantly seek improvements to processes, reconciliations or systems that enhance TI support units performance and control capabilities. To provide management information reporting that includes benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators to allow monitoring of Operational risk performance. To facilitate creation of bank Internal policy, to enhance staff comprehension of internal policies and to assist with adherence to said policy.
• Supervise team leaders of Business Control Reporting and PL/Risk Reporting.
• Reviewing and reporting on operational risk areas.
• Management of resources to ensure effective delivery of output to Treasury and other partners, e.g. holiday planning, recruitment.
• Ensures output of all key monthly and ad-hoc reports to Senior Operations management and key stakeholders/partners.
• Ensures that BCP plans are maintained in liaison with ORM.
Define/Manage Collateral Management Process which includes:
• Collateral Management payment negotiations with external Banks to ensure a fair and optimal settlement of collateral.
• Relationship maintenance with external Banks for collateral management functions.
• Settling margin calls as per CSA agreements and reconciling margin valuations with Counterparts.
• Bond substitution activities where required
Partner (on an equal basis) with departmental heads of key internal partners including (but not exclusively), Treasury, Risk Group, FID, Treasury Legal, Back Office, Treasury Sales Team, WBG, Relationship Managers and IT
Defining/Driving operational aspects of drafting and interpretation of Collateral Support Annexes to optimise to the bank’s reporting capabilities with Treasury Legal
Define/Manage Controls Process which includes:
Ensures that Collateral Margin and Exchange Traded Derivative Margin process is undertaken and completed in a segregated and controlled environment.
Contributes to the creation of new bank internal policy; ensures communication to the relevant areas and monitors adherence to said policy
Ensure the compliance of TI trading activities to internal and external regulatory guidelines and ensuring that TI support units also adhere to regulatory guidelines where relevant.
Ensures that procedures manuals exist and are updated in accordance with current processes and controls, on at least an annual basis
Ensures that Service Level Agreements are in place and are updated in accordance with current practices, on at least an annual basis
Ensures that SOPs are updated and entered into bank Documentation database on a timely fashion
Define/Manage Reporting Processes which includes:
Ensures timely and accurate reporting of all breaches
Develops and maintains monthly reporting pack inclusive of agreed benchmarks and KRIs and RCSAs for distribution to Senior Management
• Ensure that all PL relating to Treasury and Investment Group is captured accurately and that financial controls are in place to prevent accounting inaccuracies and errors.
Assist in developing PL substantiation processes, in particular PL explain/predict and model control functions
Oversee Hedge Effectiveness measurement process in TMO and define/influence with stakeholder partners (TFO, MRM and Finance).
• Owner of Account Ownership and Reconciliation Process for Treasury Middle Office.
• Attend meetings on behalf of Head of Treasury Operations where required,
• Actively partner major projects affecting Treasury and Treasury Operations, allocating team resources effectively on an equal standing basis.
• To participate and contribute to any ongoing project, in relation to the Treasury Investments Group across Front, Middle and Back Offices, as well as partner groups.
• Identifies and engages staff to participate in relevant and meaningful training activities.
Requirements:
Postgraduate University degree preferred
Relevant Professional qualifications (Risk and/or Accounting preferred).
7 - 9 years Banking with the emphasis on Operational risk and PL/Risk Reporting and strong process control ethic.

Strong MS Excel, Word skills
