Our client is an international financial institution with a strong focus in Treasury products within their Global Markets business. As part of succession planning, a Regional Leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader in FX Operations in Asia, based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Operations, you will lead a large team of experienced operations professionals in Treasury Operations with particular focus on Foreign Exchange FX Operations for the Asia region. You will manage team performance, provide coaching, assign responsibilities and manage resources. As a functional leader, you will have diverse responsibilities including risk management and reporting, put in place and maintain robust controls, participate in strategic projects, systems improvement initiatives, design and implement policies and procedures, business continuity planning, contribute to operations strategy and product development as well as owning cost and budget management. You will also be the key liaison with sales team, traders, senior management, internal and external clients and participate in industry groups discussions and activities.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience in Operations with exposure to financial products such as FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Treasury related products
- Team leadership and management experience
- Asia regional experience
- Good knowledge of industry systems and best practice
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
