Head of Treasury Southern Africa
Head of Treasury for Southern Africa is required by a major investment bank. The role is for a talented individual who has experience of operating on the ground in a Southern African region. You will be repoting to head of Globsal markets for Africa and expected totake full responsibility for all areas of treasury both internally and also on an international business within the country. You should be familiar with FX and money markets, capital market lending, bank funding and liquidity and interest rate management. (BSM and and also ALCO) You will be in charge of the business strategy and new client business development both within the bank and externally as well as the banks counterparty risk. You will look at sales across all of Treasury and Specialised products (FX, interest rate products etc) and seek to improve revenue for the bank. You will also be responsible for growing the treasury team and business as a whole and look after the department’s budget. You will work closely with the CEO and also sit on several boards and discussion groups and be a key figure for the bank. You will need at least 10 years within banking / finance and the majority of which within a treasury role and must have exposure to the Southern African region.
