Head of UK Risk
As Head of UK Risk your role will include -
Designing, implementing and maintaining a risk management framework in the UK. This includes –
- Developing and maintaining an appropriate UK Risk Management governance structure
- Lead and manage the UK Risk function including managing a team
- Implement a risk management methodology covering risk assurance reviews and business risk assessments
- Develop and maintain risk tools and systems including RADAR and Stratex
- Maintain adequate risk management related best practises and processes for the effective management of counterparty, credit and liquidity risk
- Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management framework
- Delivering a formal programme of independent risk assurance reviews, challenging each risk assessment to ensure all risks are captured
- Embed the revised risk assessment methodology across al material product development and change initiatives
Risk reporting
- Production of risk reports for the audit committee, UK regulated boards and the European Risk and Oversight Committee (EROC)
- Prudential Risk Management
- Developing the Risk Capital methodology and framework
- Overseeing ICAAP delivery
- Liaison with group finance regarding regulatory capital and capital management processes
To be considered for this role you should be able to demonstrate wide and proven experience operating within a senior risk management role within financial services (ideally asset management). You must have strong management and leadership skills including objective setting, appraisals and resource management. If you can work in a role that includes both line management, project management and drive forward the development and maintenance of risk tools then this could be a great role for you. The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, can demonstrate outstanding communication skills and will be dedicated to maintaining high standards of client satisfaction.
