The Head of Wholesale Marketing will report to the Head of Channel Marketing and champion and deliver a wide range of first-class marketing output to Wholesale clients across the UK and Europe. This highly-visible role aims to establish the business’s reputation as a premier brand through inspirational marketing activities, considered thought leadership and intelligent product positioning. He/she will have significant career progression opportunities with this fast growing firm.
The Head of Wholesale Marketing will be responsible for:
- Building market presence in the UK and European market as part of a major expansion plan. Focusing on the UK predominantly as well as Ireland, the Nordics, Canada and Germany;
- Leading and managing the current team of four marketing professionals;
- Developing and delivering comprehensive annual strategic and tactical marketing plans for all markets;
- Defining and delivering a continuous client research programme, identifying and prioritising diagnostics behind brand and clientsatisfaction;
- Overseeing the implementation of all marketing communications activities;
- Developing fund campaigns and new tools to support the salesforce;
- Actively generating Wholesale PR messages to take to market, working closely with the PR team;
- Work closely with Market Insight, brand and investment marketing teams, to ensure the implementation of a cohesive marketing strategy.
The Candidate
- Solid grasp of all aspects of the marketing mix with a commercial orientation
- Proactive, energetic and client-focused individual, with the ability to motivate others
- International, results-focused and motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
- Significant international experience in asset management marketing, with product understanding
- A clearly proven track record of UK Retail Investment marketing achievement
- Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing environments
- Deep understanding of wholesale investment campaign management and communications
- Ability to drive a range of marketing initiatives in a department undergoing change and growth
- Ability to operate successfully in a complex, matrixed environment
- Degree educated; further qualifications (MBA, CFA, IMC) desirable
