Job Description
- Drive the development, maintenance and running of US GAAP balance sheet/income statement models for scenario, planning or forecasting purposes. This is necessary input for Group Capital Planning Analysis to be able to perform the capital, liquidity and dividend analysis and ultimately the Group CEO/CFO in business steering and target setting
- Co-ordinate with EVM modeling, Treasury, CIO Office and Tax, where required
- Incorporate any modelling changes resulting from Group restructuring or other projects (for example, the planning redesign project)
- Interact closely with the Businesses and other input providers to co-ordinate the inputs required for the ENW, Risk, Capital and Liquidity calculations
- Closely interact with other Corporate Functions (e.g. IT), for example concerning any changes to the FSA Group data model
- Undertake ad-hoc special analysis and project work
- Encourage and develop shared FTE resource in co-ooperation with Head of Planning
The position holder will interact with various business areas and functions as needed, and will:
- Provide input to the planning redesign project
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships with other areas of Finance, Products, Client Markets, Asset Management and Risk Management function holders
- Identify and drive improvement/change that improves the robustness of FPA reporting and analysis
This role can be based in any location.
Requirements
- Strong Financial modelling skills, with accounting experience or other finance/actuarial background
- Good understanding of products and earnings emergence. Good understanding of cahs flow/balance sheet relationships
- Very proficient with Excel, VBA, Access and PowerPoint and good understanding of databases
- Self-reliant
- Swiss Re experience would be preferable
- Ability to manage high workload and time pressure
- Capable to interact smoothly with senior management
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Curiosity and pragmatism
- Detail oriented but also able to see the big picture and deal with ambiguity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English
