Major Accountabilities:
* Operational excellence: Ensure operational excellence in the daily execution to achieve targeted customer service levels. Drive processes with the target that they are effective, lean, and anticipating possible issues.
* Cost control: Ensure that distribution costs and COGS are under control and constantly challenged to achieve savings.
* Process improvements: Drive continuous improvement actions to increase productivity within the Supply Chain, from sales forecasting up to delivery to pharmacies.
* Direct Purchasing / Distribution: Ensure constant management and challenge of the supplier base. Ensure that Novartis procurement guidelines are well applied.
* Customer Service: Ensure full support of Sales Function.
* Business Controls: Responsibility for Supply Chain related NFCM financial controls.
Education :
* University degree level qualifications preferably in Operations or Logistics management
* Professional Logistics qualifications
* IT knowledge (SAP, Manugistics, MS Office) required
Experience:
* 10 years in different Supply Chain functions in a FMCG or pharmaceutical company
* Financial acumen
* Strong managerial skills required
* Extensive change management and benchmarking skills desirable
