Head, Treasury Operations (KL) recruitment
Our client, a reputable regional bank, is looking for a Head of Treasury Operations to lead their growing and dynamic team.
Role:
- Ensure smooth administration of Treasury Back Office Operations through proper planning resource management and supervision which includes monitoring and review of the overall operation of Money Market, Forex and Settlement
- Ensure timeless, completeness and accuracy in the processing of data, settlement of deals. Generations of accounting entries and submission of reports for Ringgit treasury transactions
- Review and endorse the documentation of work procedures in the Operational Manuals for Section’s use SPI for other departments in the Bank throughout the region
- Ensure recording and tracking processes are in place and well maintained to ensure the Bank’s obligations are duly discharged and amounts due to the Bank are received on the appropriate dates
- Ensure the smooth development and maintenance of all operations activities of The Bank Settlement Unit which includes ensuring new product delivery capability
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of reports to Management, inter Sector/Units and statutory authorities
- Provide consultative support to global customers (including Head Office Departments / local and overseas branches and financial institutions) for settlement of international and domestic transactions
- Ensure compliance with SPIs, BAFIA and BNM guidelines and regulations related to RENTAS Settlement system
- Responsible to ensure Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) are in place in the event of system backup activation
- Set up internal controls to minimize costly mistakes and prevent fraud
- Ensure staff at Treasury Operations are adequately trained to carry out daily operations at Treasury back office diligently
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree with 10 years relevant experience in Treasury Operations
- Regional exposure is a MUST, and experience leading a team is a MUST as well
