Health Care Assistant
Bedford Hospital NHS Trust are working in partnership with Hays Healthcare to source temporary agency Health Care Assistants (HCA’s) for ongoing work in Bedford Hospital. We are able to offer a challenging and rewarding environment for HCA’s to utilise a broad range of skills.
Working as a Health Care Assistant, you will play an important part in enabling the Trust to provide excellent patient care by working alongside nurses and carrying out tasks such washing and dressing, feeding, helping people to mobilise, toileting, bed making, generally assisting with patients’ overall comfort, monitoring patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight and generally helping to make patients feel comfortable while they are in hospital.
We are looking for Health Care Assistants that are flexible, keen on variety and the opportunity to gain experience within challenging and busy environments.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- At least 6 months current UK hospital experience.
- The ability to adapt to different hospital environments.
- Self-motivated, uses own initiative and excellent at making decisions.
- Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
- Time management and effective organisation skills.
