Chevron Environmental Management Company (EMC) is accepting online applications for the position of Health, Environment and Safety Field Representative located in San Ramon, California or Houston, Texas through April 1, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Overview: This position will help meet a requirement for an increased Chevron HES presence at key work sites. The HES Field Representative position is responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of the Environmental Management Company Field HES Representative Program. Qualifications: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Works with HES/OE Manager, Field HES Representative Program Coordinator, Business Unit Management and contractors to ensure the delivery of Chevron and EMC OE/HES Performance objectives and to raise the level of OE/HES Fluency and the OE/HES culture across EMC work sites. Maintains an appropriate site presence; participates in planning, JSA ??s, audits, inspections and incident investigations, BBS systems, equipment inspections, etc; and engages contractors to ensure alignment around OE Process objectives. Complies with the Field HES Representative Guidelines and ensures training requirements are kept current. Develops and delivers specific OE/HES Training for Chevron and the contractor workforce. Works with the Field HES Coordinator to ensure that Best Practices and lessons learned from the Field HES Representative program are shared across EMC business units. Serves as an EMC Root Cause Analysis Facilitator, OE Process Auditor, etc. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology OR equivalent experience in HES related roles may be accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum 5 years HES experience with strong emphasis on field based HES. Minimum 5 years experience in Drilling or Well Planning Analysis or Construction or Environmental Remediation. Willingness and ability to travel up 70% within the US and possibly international travel. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Safety Professional qualification.
