Overview Our client, a small health insurance company located in Worcester, is in need of a Sales Assistant! The ideal candidate will have experience in health insurance sales support, will have a proactive approach, the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and strong investigative skills. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, starting at $17.00-19.00ph with a negotiable salary when a permanent offer is made! Responsibilities: · Provide administrative support to Account Executive enabling Account Executive to produce more sales · Review incoming RFP?s and prepare quote requests for each case assigned to the account executive · Follow up with Managing General Underwriters on the status of quotes for each case (emails, phone calls) · Assist in the preparation of bid proposals · Collect data for insurance folders · Contact clients and/or companies for missing information, ensuring completion of data collection before passing along to sales members · Basic administrative functions such as filing, faxing, photocopying, ordering supplies and answering phones Profile: · Investigative skills · Strong attention to detail · Ability to handle multiple tasks · Ability to work in time-sensitive, team-oriented environments Requirements: · 2+ years? experience in health insurance support role, including sales support · High school diploma or equivalent degree · Knowledge of Microsoft 2007 products (Word, Excel, Outlook) · Ability to learn new computer systems quickly and efficiently · Experience in a health insurance sales environment with a concentration on employee benefits/group health insurance sales strongly preferred.
