Major duties include performing as a technician in obtaining radiological air, water, soil, radioactive material exposure rates, and surface contamination surveys. This particular employee will prepare radiological and analytical survey reports, apply radiological theories, concepts, and principles of analysis gained through education, practical experience, and long association with engineers and technologists. One will also develop procedures for radioactive material operations, monitor the performance of radiological work and the recording of radiological data. This position requires one to review drawings, radiological survey and technical reports to assure compatibility between work area radiological conditions and protective clothing and equipment requirements. Job Requirements Six years of technical experience, including one or more years of concentrated technical radiological experience or formal radiological training. This position requires one to work under the technical direction of a high level technician or under the supervision of a technical supervisor, and to provide work direction and guidance to lower level employees, as required.
