Must be US Citizen or possess Green Card and able to pass National Agency Check Investigation (NACI),government background investigation. During the implementation phase, the Health Policy Advisor will review existing Claims Billing Processing (CBP) policies and procedures and make recommendations based on extensive knowledge of industry best practices and federal regulations. These recommendations will focus on immediate changes that can be implemented easily to improve CBP operations and service delivery effectiveness and efficiency. Network with private sector and Medicare healthcare specialists to stay abreast of latest trends and best practices and will possess experience withclaim processing project support. Essential Job Functions ·These recommendations may focus on industry issues, significant changes that may be required to implement new federal legislation, regulations or guidance, improvements to CBP operations and service delivery effectivenessand efficiency, or new approaches to ensure that CBP operations are in line with latest industry best practices. ·Examples of such issues and changes include but are not limited to: implementing ICD-10, NPI, Presidential health informatics initiatives, HIPAA, use of modifiers, fee schedules, etc. ·The Health Policy Advisor will provide technical guidance to TS nurses ·Network with private sector and Medicare healthcare specialists to stay abreast of latest trends and best practices. ·Ability to draw upon extensive knowledge of industry best practices andfederal regulations to identify and analyze issues and develop appropriate recommendations to the Government. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field preferred Twelve or more years of business processes and business analysis experience Experience working with the interface of information technology with functional groups within an organization Experience working with business processes and re-engineering Experience working with computer programming concepts and coding languages Experience working with the implementation of company value propositions Other Qualifications BS/BA degree with at least five (5) yearsexperience in Health Care Policy, Health Care Delivery, Coordination / Planning Health IT, Medical Bill Processing preferred Clinical degree is highly preferred Graduate Degree preferred in one of the following areas: Public Policy,Information, Health Care Administration, Health Care Delivery, to include at least three (3) years of experience in one of these fields.
