Our client are currently looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor for a 6 month fixed term contract in their Leeds office.

The role of Health, Safey and Environmental Advisor will be to support the rollout of the Health and Safety Change Programme and, to develop and implement improvements to the EC Harris Global SHE Management System - placing great emphasis on the development of best practice policies, process and guidance ( with accreditation to OHSAS 18001, and widening of existing ISO 14001 certification pending).
 
There will be a need to undertake national travel on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist HS Manager with the implementation of a SHE Improvement Strategy, encompassing a 40 point management action plan
Key action plan deliverables shall include:
• Facilitate organisation and delivery of Service Line HS hazard analysis workshops
• Develop Service Line specific H7S module for SHE awareness training sessions
• Deliver SHE training sessions (including modules on general and site HS, management system arrangements, behavioural safety and Service Line specific HS breakout module) Training shall be aligned to country specific externally accredited qualification where possible. i.e. CCCS for UK
• Carry out targeted service line project audits

Skills / Experience Required

Essential

• A confident, “people” person with effective interpersonal, communication presentation skills (written and verbal) who is able to work with all levels of staff
• Ability to manage workload and adhere to strict deadlines
• Able to travel throughout specific Regions (UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia)
• Computer literate (ability to use Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Qualifications - Essential
• NEBOSH HS General Certificate level (or equivalent)
• Qualifications - Desirable
• NEBOSH HS Construction Certificate level (or equivalent)
• Graduate Engineer or other Construction related Graduate IEMA Associate Membership Certificate level ((or equivalent)
• Management system auditing training
