Hays MoD team have great jobs for Healthcare Assistants (HCA) to work as part of a nursing and multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services to military personnel.
Assisting the Medical Officers and Practice Nurse teams in various primary health care, you will undertake clinical measurements, visual acuity, venepuncture, ECG's urinalysis and other preliminaries prior the patients undertaking their medical examination with the Medical Officer.
You will ensure that all consultations are appropriately entered onto the computer system and audits are undertaken in collaboration with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients attending a military medical centre.
You must hold a NVQ 2 in Healthcare, have demonstrable experience working in a general practice or healthcare environment; Medical Devices Competencies, Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training, Basic Life Support and Manual Handling Training. MoD experience would be an advantage.
You must have a proof of immunisations against Tuberculosis, Hep B, Rubella, Measles, Mumps and Varicella.
