Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing culinary concepts based on market data, research and creativity, and creating dynamic menus for all entities. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided throughout all aspects of the food services experience and for helping to develop system wide marketing strategies to promote food services throughout the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Creates, tests, and evaluates all recipes.
Implements a central standardized recipe repository which includes all nutritional information. Builds menus with each entity based on standardized recipes.
- Oversees all fiscal responsibility controlling costs and maximizing efficiency.
Oversees the training of all culinary staff and continues to improve processes and work flow.
- Develops certification programs for production staff.
- Manages the safety, sanitation and emergency preparedness for all areas.
- Develops and implements new food service programs and/or operations, as necessary.
- Develops a partnership with local Culinary School; implements an ACF approved Apprenticeship.
- Maintains accurate job descriptions and staff plans for all production staff.
- Manages and participates in the purchasing practices and item specifications. Develops specifications as necessary to maximize purchasing power.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Certification as an Executive Chef from the American Culinary Federation (AFC, or pending certification
- Two years of experience as an Executive Chef in a healthcare environment.
- Three years of experience as an Executive Chef in the hospitality and/or restaurant industry.
- Current ServSafe Certification
Preferred:
Cbord experience.
