Pocono Peterbilt is actively seeking experienced A-Rate Heavy Duty Diesel Technicians responsible for: troubleshooting and repairing 2010 diesel engines, electrical systems, transmissions and other various components found on all heavy-duty truck makes and models.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
§ Accurately diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
§ Perform repairs in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
§ Meet or exceed standard repair time guidelines.
§ Communicate effectively with parts department personnel to receive required parts. Notify service advisor immediately, if additional work is required, if repairs cannot be completed within time promised, or if any other discrepancies arise.
§ Accurately document all work performed and tag appropriate parts - if necessary.
§ Road test vehicle - if necessary.
§ Maintain a clean work area.
§ Maintain and properly store all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Operate all tools and equipment safely and responsibly. Report any problems and/or potential safety issues to management.
§ Participate in OEM and other training programs as deemed appropriate by management. Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with manufacturers’ technical bulletins, as well as, federal, state and local regulations.
§ Perform tasks autonomously or as the member of a team.
§ Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional working relationship with customers, supervisors and co-workers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ High School Diploma or Equivalent
§ Degree from Accredited Vocational or Technical School
§ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an A-Rate Service Technician
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must be well-trained in the Heavy Duty Truck Industry:
§ PACCAR, Cummins, Cat ASE certifications preferred
§ Dealership and/or Peterbilt, Kenworth or Paccar experience preferred
§ Valid Commercial Drivers License
§ PA State Inspection License
§ Background check and drug test
§ Must provide own tools
§ Be able to use basic diagnostic equipment
§ Possess basic computer skills
