Heavy Duty Truck / Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Job in Stratford 06614, Connecticut US
Well established Construction Company now seeking a heavy duty truck technician (Truck Mechanic). We are looking for somebody to complete our tem of four mechanics that could quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns in Trucks over one ton (gas and diesel) and repair them using the most optimal solutions.
Job Responsibilities
· Perform work with efficiency and in accordance with company standards
· Diagnose and repair Heavy Duty Truck / Heavy Duty Equipment systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
· Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
· Inspect test vehicles and record findings, so that necessary repairs can be made.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
As a Heavy Duty Truck Technician (Automotive / Truck Mechanic), you will be expected to be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician:
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Heavy Duty technician
· Hold a valid driver’s license
· Team oriented, flexible and focused
· Working knowledge of fuel injections systems computer diagnostics
· Knowledge of hydraulic systems a must.
· Brake certification for heavy duty a must.
