The Company
Our Client, one of Ireland’s leading alternative investment firm is looking for a Hedge fund Accountant to work on a team of 3 fund Accountants and report directly to the Fund Accounting Supervisor in the Finance and Back Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is eager to pursue a career in a highly dynamic and leading investment firm with a keen interest in the funds industry.
The Challenge
Working in a team of 3 fund accountants, the position will involve:
- Reviewing automated trade reconciliations
- Reviewing automated valuations and validating rates of return to those calculated by the Fund’s administrator
- Liaising with appointed trading advisors, brokers and the Funds’ administrator to investigate and resolve cash and trade issues as necessary
- Performing daily bank reconciliations
- Daily download of trade files
- Various ad-hoc tasks and project work
The Candidate
- Relevant Business degree with a minimum of 2.1Hons
- Relevant internship experience
- 1 years relevant work experience is ideal but not a requirement
- Have a very strong and keen interest in the funds industry
The Compensation
Package on offer is 25-30k commensurate with candidate’s experience.
