Hedge Fund Analyst recruitment
Investigo are working with a leading Hedge Fund to recruit a qualified accountant looking for an Analytical role. The role will consist of Competitor and Industry Analysis. The client does not expect the candidate to be well versed in financial modelling, but must be able to show aptitude to learn.
The role will have a daily base of forecasting, planning and reporting, as well as financial modelling. A huge focus for this role are projects, and there are many projects currently in process. This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant who is not looking for a daily reporting role, but a role more involved in analysis and value add.
Duties:
- Take direct ownership for certain areas of the reporting process and analysis
- Liaise with teams outside of finance such as investor relations, tax, treasury and risk
- Provide insightful analysis around business drivers and Key Performance Indicators
- Review and challenge performance commentary from the businesses
- Build analytical tools to produce accurate and robust analysis of capital allocation and returns across all BBP processes
- Build, maintain and enhance Excel capital models, and Hyperion based tools
- Liaise with business BPA teams, Treasury and Financial Control to co-ordinate capital metric reporting, and resolve process and content issues
- Provide insightful analysis and written commentary demonstrating keen understanding of key drivers, KPIs and underlying business performance
- Provide insightful analysis on key business drivers and optimisation of returns and capital consumption as well as input/commentary into capital team deliverables
- Projects to be allocated upon joining but examples include training development, talent management, process re-engineering operational excellence.
Requirements
- Strong Analytical skills
- ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified, 1st time passes preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills / commercial awareness
- Degree Educated
- Industry experience preferred, but not required.
