Hedge Fund – Operations & Trade Support (Manager & Analyst Levels) recruitment
The fund operates as a closely-knit team, with the middle office and front office sitting together to provide a flawless timely execution for all trading. The front office team have a reputation for delivering consistent returns through rigorous analysis, independent judgement, excellent processes and effective team work.
As a result of returns and investment growth, the fund wished to bring in operational experts, who can enable the fund to reach its growth goals.
Reporting directly into the Chief Operating Officer, we are looking for both highly experienced Operations Analysts (manager level), as well as individuals who are early in their Ops career, but are keen for new challenges - due to the dynamic, the fund seeks to give all levels of employee interesting projects and responsibilities they might not get at similar firms. The role will:
- Deliver the accurate confirmation of all trades on a daily basis
- Ensure timely and accurate settlement of all trades
- Calculation of daily, weekly monthly PL
- Ensure that the Portfolio Management System is up-to-date at all times, including intra-day NAV accuracy
- Resolve all queries from members of the investment team and take on ad-hoc projects
Particularly for the more senior applicants, we would look for someone who could:
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency effectiveness
- Keep up to date with new systems and approaches for operations
- act as a key stakeholder for the investment team, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of all funds
Experience Required:
Applicants should come with relevant Operations or Fund Administration experience, most likely from another Investment Fund (although those from Investment Banks and Fund Administrators are also interesting). Experience with Global Macro or Multi-Strategy funds are highly desired.
Cross Asset knowledge and experience is key (the fund processes trades across all products: Equities, Rates, FX, Commodities etc).
Experience dealing with UCITS funds is useful, as is knowledge around the FSA SEC requirements
