Hedge Fund Real Time C# Multi-threading Senior Developer.
Required Technical Skills:
C#, Multithreading, SQL, Excel, VBA
Experience of large-scale, n-tier systems development, using .NET technology AND tactical development using C#, Excel, VBA, SQL.
Ability to confidently interact with Front Office users, prioritise workload, manage expectations, quickly understand what is hard about a trader request and what is easy.
The successful candidate will form part of a small, highly skilled development team at a hedge fund with around $1bn under management. There currently exists a core infrastructure which supports trading and risk management, pricing and analytics, reporting etc. This is based on a 3rd party application and bespoke software. Plans to replace 3rd party application with in-house developed software, combined with a strategy to invest heavily in IT and significantly enhance the IT platform means that there is a large program of development work upcoming as well as continual tactical development projects as requested by traders and fund managers. The successful applicant will contribute to overall development strategy / roadmap, system design, development testing and ongoing support of key aspects of the platform and/or individually developed applications. The existing infrastructure has received good feedback and the incumbent team enjoy good buy-in from users. A key requirement for ongoing development is to conform to the same high standards of development and delivery of quality systems.
Technical Requirements:
*C# (server-side and GUI programming), Winforms, real-time, multi-threaded programming.
* Excel and VBA (good knowledge of Excel and limits within trading environments).
*SQL Server (Triggers, Stored Procedures, T-SQL etc)
*Front Office, Hedge Fund or Investment Banking experience. Good knowledge of trading conventions within at least one financial instrument / asset class (fixed income, equities, credit derivatives, interest rate, fx etc) .
