My client is looking to add to their Hedge Fund Sales team, who will be responsible for selling their Investment Research expertise and other core products to hedge fund clients. This role offers a great compensation package and a substantial means of career progression.
The role:
Systematically prospect new hedge funds where ITG’s Investment Research expertise is relevant
- Engage with hedge funds to provide solutions and identify cross-selling opportunities for ITG’s other core products -- Execution Order Management Platforms, Trading Portfolio Analytics Products, Liquidity Tools, CCA/CSA Services, etc.
- Develop and maintain an active/current list of prospects and develop sales plans for targeted companies; update customer and company contact information and maintain presentations, proposals and general sales records regarding ongoing sales activities.
- Proactively pursue new client relationships; prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to prospective customers and complement existing relationships.
- Adjust sales approach and strategy accordingly to various client drivers to solidify role as customer advocate
- Incorporate customer perspective, drivers, product/service relevancy to deliver persuasive client presentations
- Gather market intelligence and contribute to pricing, packaging and new opportunities for product development in order to meet changing client needs.
- The candidate will be a producer with the ability to use independent judgment, forge good working relationships with regional and business counterparts
Skills/Experience:
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience, ideally in the Prime Brokerage or Hedge Fund space. Prior sales experience preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance, Economics or Marketing.
- Understanding of financial markets, institutional broker/dealers and investment banks, hedge funds; knowledge of investment research products and services are a plus.
- Ability to clearly articulate our Investment Research product and various trading solutions and investment strategies
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills, with the facility to communicate clearly and effectively. Able to initiate the sales process through a succinct and targeted phone presentation plus strong communication skills for one-on-one and large group presentations. Must be proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- A demonstrated track record of consistent communication with clients, both on the phone and in person.
