Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house with strong Asia-Pacific foundations covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. The group uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
Working within a flat management structure, you will be given the tools, autonomy and flexibility to build upon your skills and experience to develop and grow our cash equities business.
In this role, you will:
- Have the opportunity to build Macquarie's European equity presence in NYC
- Develop and implement strategies to generate sales to new and existing institutional and hedge fund clients
- Provide market and stock analysis
- Maintain considerable client contact and liaise as an account manager
- Accompany research analysts to road shows, marketing events and conferences
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Institutional Equities Sales role, ideally selling European equities to US based clients
- Highly developed sales, persuasion and negotiation skills, with strong client relationships (preference will be given to candidates who have strong hedge fund relationships)
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities
- The ability to work within a fast paced environment
- Resourcefulness and demonstrate initiative
- A university degree in a relevant discipline required
- Series 7 and 63 qualifications (or be willing to obtain these)
