Hedge Fund Sales (Executive Director) – Alternatives Asset Manager – Hong Kong recruitment
The company are a recognised provider of alternative investment solutions to investors with offices across the globe. The company currently manage over $20 billion in assets raised through the sale of their range of hedge fund strategies. Reporting in to the CEO, the candidate will have overall responsibility for the sale of the company’s funds whilst also developing a thorough knowledge and understanding of the company’s products. The main responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and targeting potential new investors from an institutional client base throughout the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on banks and brokers and other large institutional investors
• Building up of expert knowledge for the company’s specialist hedge fund strategies
• Setting up, preparing and conducting sales pitches as well as servicing of clients and cooperation partners
• Liaising between the company’s Head Office and clients/prospects for contract management, roadshows and performance reviews
• Frequent travel between the company’s Hong Kong office and clients/prospects across the Asia Pacific region
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading specialist investment manager in a sales role. Candidates do not need to be based in Asia currently but should have a good knowledge of the market and be interested in relocating to the region. The suitable candidate for this role will likely have a proven sales track record with institutional investors across the Asia Pacific region and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the alternatives space and, in particular, hedge fund strategies. The candidate should also possess excellent English skills with Asian language skills an advantage, although not a necessity.
