Hedge Fund Treasury Operations-CT recruitment
An elite international global macro hedge fund is seeking a junior operations analyst to join its growing team here in Connecticut. The successful candidate willl report directly into the Head of Operations and will have extensive exposure to all areas of the firm including PMs, trading, risk management and external 3rd party vendors.Products include but are not limited to Futures, FX, Options, Equities, Fixed Income and various OTC products.
Main Responsibilities Include:
-Manage and review the street side reconciliation process that compares trades, open positions and cash balances between internal accounting system and the street for all product types.
-Review and post corporate action events in back office system.
-Review FX options and other OTC confirmations.
-Calculation of Daily capital usage by our various entities. This process allows us to quantify the amount of capital needed by each entity to maintain its current positions.
-Upon approval, all orders to purchase bonds are then executed by the Treasury group. The group is also responsible for all currency hedging activities for the firm.
Minimum Requirements Include:
-Bachelors Degree from top University
-0 to 3 years of related experience (fresh grads will be considered with strong internship experience).
-Experience at a fund administrator preferred
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong Excel experience
