Technical Responsibilities

Financial Contract Management

Understand, own, and manage our clients’ financial transaction contracts so that we can:

Financial Data Management

Comprehend, process, and mine our clients’ financial transaction information in order to:

    ISDA Specialist

    Review derivative documentation including the ISDA Master and Schedule, Credit Support Annex, trade confirmations, and related documentation in order to:

    • Ensure the most appropriate terms to suitably manage our clients’ risk resulting from entering into derivative transactions. To do so, team members need to learn and understand the ISDA framework as well as be able to comprehend the implications of negotiated provisions on our clients’ credit, counterparty, and legal risk.
    • Educating clients, their attorneys, as well as team members in navigating the practical implications of these documents. Team members will be required to display strong verbal and written communication skills, strong linguistic abilities, the ability to read and understand information quickly, attention to detail, be able to discuss and negotiate the pros and cons of provisions, and appropriately assess and convey the importance of documentation issues to colleagues and clients.
    • Continuously improve our expertise and consistency of reviewing derivative documentation for our clients. This requires a team member to constantly monitor and assess the key big-picture aspects and trends in market practices related to legal documentation for derivatives, and propose and implement a unified and effective approach to negotiations and contract management on behalf of our clients.
