Help Desk/Network Technician Job in New York City 10022, New York US
Midtown gallery is looking for a Help Desk/Network Technician to provide desktop computing and telecommunications support for 150 users across five NYC locations. Responsibilities include:
- Provide quality desktop support including PC, Mac and laptop hardware, sofware applications, email, intranet applications, networking, printing and training
- Maintain the integrity of the desktop computer through upgrades, support, and new technology
- Configure, image and customize new or replacement PC's, laptops and mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) for employees
- Test, implement and support enterprise desktop applications across WAN; provide support for latest Windows and Apple operating systems
- Support Microsoft Office Suite application and proprietary applications
- Diagnose hardware and software issues on a variety of systems
- Provide phone system and voicemail management support. Analyze issues that arise with voice communications systems and develop solutions.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of hardware and software
- Administer and maintain tape backup system and MS Exchange mail system
- Create comprehensive "how-to" instructions for end users
- Work with vendors to solve Internet, network, hardware and phone issues
- Work closely with department on other IT projects as needed
- Manage and document all telecommunications accounts
- Basic networking skills including working with Active Directory and setting up file sharing on the network
Suitable candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of two years of Windows and Mac OS support. Two years of PC hardware and software experience also required. Candidates must have very strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with industry standard Help Desk software and Active Directory. Must be willing to travel site off site within the city.
