HELP DESK/TECH SUPPORT ANALYST

Penn National Gaming’s Corporate Office is currently looking for a Tech Support/Help Desk Analyst join the team. This position is responsible for providing support to end users on a variety of issues.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Responsible for providing expert and creative solutions to customer problems to ensure customer satisfaction and productivity.
- Will research, respond to, and resolve, intermediate-to-complex problems relating to computer hardware, software, user accounts, phones, and printing.
- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Career Requirements:
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A/ B.S) or equivalent in an appropriate technical field from a four-year college; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training in a PC technical support role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Certification is a plus.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively when responding to trouble calls.
- Intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting experience (1-2 years) in Windows XPWindows 7 Pro.
- Intermediate knowledge and troubleshooting experience (1-2 years) in Microsoft Office 2007/2010 Professional.
- Previous experience configuring and supporting network printers.
- Previous experience supporting remote users over virtual private networks (VPN).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
- PDA devices including iPhone and Blackberry.
Preferred skills:
- Experience supporting Microsoft Outlook email client.
- MAC OS experience is a plus
- Help Desk work order applications systems such as Remedy, Track-It, Numara Footprints.
- Microsoft certification is a plus.
- Degree in computer-related field is desired.
Travel Requirements
- This position requires a low amount of traveling (5-10%) to other company affiliated locations when needed.
