About the Job
- Providing 1st line support to the Help Desk logging all calls received.
- Answering and resolving calls received over the telephone, remote and onsite escalating to Help Desk Supervisor where relevant
- Diagnose software and hardware problems liaising directly with 3rd party vendors on behalf of customer where required
- Issuing of all Field Service Reports to engineers
- Resolving any hardware faults received within the Support Workshop
Providing assistance to the Installation Team with the delivery of School network installations
- Experience of resolving support calls on site, over the telephone and using remote services
- Knowledge of Windows 2003/Windows 2008 Server Solutions
- Knowledge of Windows 7 and XP Pro workstations
- Backup solutions ie. Symantec Backup Exec
- Fault Finding of Interactive whiteboard solutions ie. SMART/Promethean
- Anti Virus Software ie. Sophos
- Knowledge of fault finding active hardware such as network switches
- Knowledge of fault finding wireless solutions
- Experience of working within an educational environment
- Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere and Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop a distinct advantage
