Helpdesk Specialist Job in Fountain Valley 92708, California Us
Looking for Super Sharp Helpdesk Specialist (Fountain Valley, CA)
Our company provides software solutions to retailers (apparel, hardware, art stores, footwear, pet stores) with customized Point-of-Sale (POS) solutions including software to track transactions and purchase orders and hardware like scanners, cash registers. We also have an integrated e-commerce solution.
We want to hire an entry-level help desk wizard who is dedicated, organized, customer-focused and wants to grow with our software company.
1. You will be put through two-weeks of training -- the first week learning our POS products and the second week working with another help desk professional to bring you up to speed. So having a solid foundation of troubleshooting under your belt will help you hit the ground running.
2. You will have to learn our Window-based software products quickly so knowledge of Windows environments (usage and administration), knowing Windows Server 2003, some basic hardware and networking (TCP/IP, VPN, Routers, Switches) troubleshooting will help you succeed. Of course, any experience with POS hardware or knowledge of ecommerce websites will give you a bit of an advantage.
3. You will be connecting with rushed retailers over the phone and remotely (via tools like PCAnywhere) to resolve tough-troubleshooting problems to keep them happy.
4. You will be tracking and documenting retailer issues and working with QA at times to ensure our product is working efficiently and our customers know how to use it with ease. Because you are part of a small smart team, your teammates will be counting on you to be here every day. So if you've ever worked in this type of environment, you know how important teamwork and commitment are important to success.
5. We'd like someone with 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving computer issues. More important though is a commitment to be as good as you possibly can. And we'll do our best to help you achieve this goal.
Our company offers a complete benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401K and paid vacations).
The position pays $15/hr and has potential for growth (some of our great tech support people have moved on in the company to QA, development and product management).
If you're interested, please email your resume right away. We have 3 openings and are interviewing currently.
