HGV Mechanic/Technician, Gillingham, to £15.50 ph Job in Grays, Home Counties Uk
We are urgently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic to work at one of our client's workshops.
You will be working in a busy workshop, looking after a large fleet of vehicles ranging from light commercial vehicles through to Class 1 and 2 HGVs. Your day-to-day duties will include: servicing, repair, fault-finding and diagnostics.
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There is some flexibility around the shifts that you could work, i.e. the company would be happy for you to work either an early shift (6am-2pm or 7am to 3pm) or a day shift (starting at 8 or 9am). This is a temporary ongoing position, which may lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.

It is essential that you hold one of the following qualifications or equivalent: City and Guilds level 2 or above or NVQ level 3 in the service and repair of motor vehicles.
You should be well-practised in carrying out MOT preps. for class 4 and 7 vehicles.
You must have strong commercial experience working with HGVs and a wide range of makes and models of vans, and a category CE (Class 1) licence would be a major advantage.
