High Dependency Unit Nurses required in London

Hays Healthcare is currently looking for HDU nurses for ongoing requirements in a number of NHS hospitals located within the London area. We are able to offer a challenging and rewarding career environment for nurses to utilise a broad range of nursing skills. 

Typically a HDU nurse will need to do the following; 

 - Assess patients, plans and implements care in ITU (Intensive Treatment Unit)/HDU (High Dependency Unit)
 - Provides advice and maintains associated records
 - Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate within the interdisciplinary team and across disciplines and agencies
 - Effective communication skills (written, non-verbal and verbal)
 - Able to function effectively as a team member
 - Self-motivated, uses own initiative and will make decisions; able to prioritise workload, allocate work and meet deadlines;
 - Able to maintain clear and accurate records of assessments made, nursing care and treatment delivered and how effective these       have been.
 - Competent and effective clinical nursing skills including:
 - Able to demonstrate safe use of patient equipment including infusion devices
 - Able to care for ITU/HDU/dialysis patients under indirect supervision

To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following: 
- You will need to have 12 months current UK NHS Hospital experience.

- The ability to adapt to different hospital environments.  
- Self-motivated, uses own initiative and excellent at making decisions. 
- Able to work under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations. 
- Time management and effective delegation skills.
