Position Description:
Directs all phases of the Field Claims Office or Center of Excellence operation within an assigned territory. Plans, develops, and recommends claims procedures, techniques, and methods; studies, analyzes, and interprets claims results and trends;and evaluates zone claims performance by the review of management information reports and periodic visits to the Field Claims Centers, and makes recommendations to improve service and results.
Position Requirements:
Leads the Center of Excellences High Exposure and Complex Loss team directing the investigation, evaluation and resolutions of high value and complex claims matters arising out of Commercial Insurance coverages. This involves directing senior claim professionals, collaborating with the centers leadership team and our Technical Consultants in developing appropriate strategies for the handling of complex claim matters. The role further involves building rapport and collaborating with internal and panel lawyers in providing an appropriate defense for our customers and seeking the best claim outcome reached at the right time in the life of the matter. This individual will be a valued member of the centers leadership team and provide insight and advice surrounding claims processes, training and development needs for the center as a whole.
Position Attributes:
Must have knowledge of complex and high exposure claim handling including litigation management, investigation strategies, resolution strategies and an understanding of the needs of our customers in the Small Business class including Real Estate owners, Homeowners Associations, Restaurants and others.
