High Frequency Trading Linux Infrastructure Engineer - 80-110k+ Bonus

A leading Tier 1 Investment Bank is looking to hire a HFT Linux Engineer to join their growing global HFT platform team that manage and develop the banks systematic/high frequency trading IT systems.
This role is multi-dimensional, involving applying technologies and techniques to facilitate high-frequency/low latency trading applications, networks and infrastructure. The team have a deep expertise across multiple domains and implement solutions to reduce latency and increase determinism for trading. This particular engineer should have strong low level Infrastructure, Linux and Networking expertise.
Ideal Skillset:
- Linux - Kernals (scheduling/threads/stacks) - Open source optimisation
- Low level networking and protocols - 10-Gig Ethernet, Infiniband, iWarp/RDMA, TCP/IDP
- Hardware acceleration - FPGA, NPU, GPU, ASIC and language skills (Verilog/VHDL)
- Processor architecture - Intel/AMD - Quickpath/PCIE, Hypertransport)
- Hardware/Software/Vendor research and management
- IT strategy, innovation and design
- Multiple domain knowledge: Applications, Middleware, OS, Hardware and Networks
Experience within a HFT/low latency environment will be important, particularly Equities, meanwhile other desirable experiences and skills include: experience or exposure to Software Development (C++/Java) however the most important skills lie within High Frequency/Low Latency Infrastructure/Linux/Networking. This person will be an interface between technology and the business so strong communication skills will be required. The bank is looking for an engineer who is innovative and will help to drive HFT technology forward and push it beyond the normal standard.
