High Frequency Trading Support Job in New York, New York Us

Our client is a leading Hedge Fund in NYC and they are looking for a High Frequency Trading Support on perm basis. Below is detailed description.

 

Position: High Frequency Trading Support

Location: NYC

Duration: Permanent

 

Responsibilities:

•        Part of technology support team that provides Level 1support for US based High frequency trading.

•        Backup support for EU Asia platforms.

•        Handle software upgrades and releases.

•        Liaison with brokers, service providers, other technology groups, operations and traders.

•        Design and implement tools and reports to help make support and  monitoring more efficient.

 

Job Requirements:

•        Applicant must be comfortable and proficient in an all-Linux environment.

•        Applicant must have a good understanding of FIX protocol and Equity trading life cycle.

•        Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize as required.

•        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Specific Technical Skills

•        Linux

•        General scripting (vi, Bash, Perl)

•        Database / SQL (Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL)

•        Understand of network and internet protocols (tcp, udp, telnet, ssh, etc)
