The Opportunity:
This is a mandate for a knowledgeable Tech Lead who has worked on at least one large scale program at another IB in a tech leadership/senior developer capacity. The position is very hands on and will suit someone who is a Technology enthusiast, someone who is driven by improving, researching and bettering technology for a business. However, the successful candidate will also be very pragmatic and design software solutions that are market leading, but also practical to deliver, maintain and implement.
The project is a renovation and transformation program which will see a brand new post trade technology suite being designed and implemented for the Derivatives space, knowledge of Derivatives products is therefore important. The primary language is Java but also utilising C# and C++, therefore someone with a broad grasp on all the Object Oriented languages, being expert is in at least one, is of interest. You will join the greenfield project from it's inception and be responsible for the successful prototyping and delivery of the platform from the get-go. It will be a scalable cloud based solution which needs to have a very high up-time and be both robust and capable of processing vast amounts of complex data quickly. Previous experience of working in this type of environment is vital. This role will suit someone who is highly ambitious and eager to make an impact on a business critical initiative. If you are looking for a role that supports more of a technical career path rather than man management this could be a really good option, management may well be on offer but it is not a given from the outset.
